Algebra II

This course (or the 2 year equivalent) is required for entrance into 4-year universities and colleges.  Our global objective is to prepare students for their college entrance exams and future mathematics courses by adhering to the national standards, and honoring our state standards.

It is highly recommended that students not graduating this school year plan on taking Pre-Calculus next year to better prepare for college.

AP Statistics

Contrary to popular thought, statistics is more of a reading, writing, communication and reasoning course than it is a mathematics course.  It takes the number crunching of mathematics and extends our answers to interpret what those numbers mean in the context of real life.

Advanced Placement Statistics is equivalent to a college level introductory statistics course.  It allows you the opportunity to receive college credit while still in high school provided that you take and earn an acceptable score on the AP exam that is required of the college you wish to attend.

This course is designed for students planning careers and/or study in the areas of (but not limited to) engineering, psychology, science, sociology, business and mathematics.  The four major topics that are examined in this course include exploring data, planning a study, anticipating patterns and statistical inference.  You’ll learn how to collect, analyze and interpret data both graphically and numerically.
